Forney Arts Council to Participate in North Texas Giving Day on Sept. 18, 2025!

FORNEY, Texas, Aug. 8, 2025 — The Forney Arts Council (FAC) today announced its participation in North Texas Giving Day, a major regional fundraising initiative presented by the Communities Foundation of Texas, set for Sept. 18, 2025, offering 100% of donations to go directly to nonprofits (North Texas Giving Day).

The FAC has set a fundraising goal of $20,000, with funds to support its springboard initiative: creating a dedicated arts facility in Forney to host exhibits, classes, concerts and community programming (FAC - North Texas Giving Day).

"As a young and vibrant arts organization serving Forney and surrounding areas, this facility will provide a central hub for artists, students and the entire community," said a spokesperson for the Forney Arts Council. "North Texas Giving Day gives us a tremendous opportunity to move this vision forward."

The Forney Arts Council is dedicated to expanding access to arts through free and low-cost programming, including art shows, artisan markets, children’s crafts, live music and more (Forney Arts Council). Funds raised through Giving Day will advance FAC’s mission to advocate for the arts, represent community diversity, teach cultural-arts fundamentals, and sustain long-term organizational growth.

Established by the Communities Foundation of Texas, North Texas Giving Day is the foundation's largest community investment effort in the region. The event encourages philanthropic support across more than 20 cause areas, including arts and humanities, and confirms that 100% of every donation online goes straight to nonprofit organizations receiving the funds (North Texas Giving Day).
