The Forney Arts Council organizes free community art shows in the summer and winter inside The Gallery at the Forney ISD Opportunity Central Facility.

MUSIC
FORNEY COMMUNITY BAND
The Forney Community Band is comprised of local area volunteer musicians of all ages coming together every summer to perform an evening of free music for the whole family. Music concerts are held in the Summer at the Forney Community Park’s Spellman Amphitheater.
How to Join
New members are welcome to join the band at anytime depending on section availability. There are no auditions required to join the band, however we request that prospective members have the ability to play the level of literature currently being rehearsed. If you are interested in joining the Forney Community Band or being put on a waiting list for sections that are currently closed, please contact info@forneyarts.org.
PICKERS IN THE PARK
Local area musicians are welcome to join us every second and fourth Saturday’s of the month for an acoustic jam session at Bell Park in Downtown Forney. All ages and experience levels welcome!

Join us for a community open mic night featuring poetry, spoken word, music, comedy and more! Open Mic Night is held on the third Friday of the month at the Forney Brewing Company.

CITY OF FORNEY PARTNERED EVENTS
Come sample wines from various Texas wineries, listen to some great music, and talk with many of our very talented local artists. We will also have artisan vendors and tasty desserts and treats. It will be a fun street party right on Main Street.
